legs felt completely different today and I think I know why

Did a proper 12 minute warm-up before my session this morning instead of the usual 3 minutes of half-hearted stuff and honestly my squats felt like a different exercise. Like my hips were actually open, knees tracked properly. Didn't have to fight myself through every rep. I know I've talked about warm-ups before but it keeps hitting different when you actually feel it vs just knowing it in theory. My last few sessions I'd been rushing — straight into it, cold — and my legs were just... heavy the whole time. Thought I was tired. Maybe I just wasn't ready. Recovery the next day was noticeably easier too. Less of that deep ache in my glutes.

I'm honestly terrible for this — I'll do like two minutes of walking and call it a warm-up. Always pay for it later though, especially in my hips.

had the same thing happen when I started doing dynamic work before sparring — felt like I'd borrowed someone else's legs

the difference between a proper warm-up and just winging it is insane, I always feel it in my hips too
