matcha before deadlifts — ok hear me out
Right so I've been doing this for a few weeks now and I don't fully understand why it works but it does. Matcha about 40 minutes before I pull. No jitters, no heart going mental, just... focused. Clean focused.
With pre-workout I always got that wired thing where my brain was loud but not sharp if that makes sense. This is different. I'm actually present on the platform, not just buzzing.
Mind you I still hit my creatine — that's non-negotiable, always has been. But the matcha has basically replaced the stimulant side of things for me. My last session I hit a solid triple at 142.5kg and I genuinely felt dialled in the whole time.
Could be placebo. I'm a solicitor, I know I should apply more scepticism lol. But I keep going back to it so.
