my skin does NOT like transition weather

Right so I thought once winter was done I could just... relax a bit? Less heavy stuff, simpler routine, skin happy. Nope. The last two weeks have been weird. Some days it's still cold and my skin goes tight and flaky round my nose. Then we get a mild sunny afternoon and suddenly I'm oily by 2pm and have two new spots by evening. It's like my skin didn't get the memo that it's supposed to be gradually transitioning. I'm not even changing my routine dramatically and it's still losing the plot. The main thing I've actually noticed — and I don't know if this is just me — is that layering feels wrong now. Through winter I was doing toner, serum, moisturiser, oil, all of it. That same routine in slightly warmer weather and I wake up congested and greasy. So I've basically stripped it back. Toner, niacinamide, a lighter moisturiser. That's it on most days. My skin seems less confused when I'm not piling stuff on top of it trying to be helpful. SPF is the one thing I've actually been consistent about adding back in properly now there's actual daylight. I was honestly a bit lazy with it through winter tbh. No dramatic skin transformation to report, mind you. Still got active spots, still got the marks from the last round. But the texture feels a bit less angry this week so I'm calling that a win and not touching anything.

yeah my skin does this every single year and I still act surprised. the tight-then-oily thing is so annoying — I ended up just dropping to one cleanser and nothing else for a few days when it got bad, which helped a bit honestly
