rice and eggs before a heavy session, I know I know

Honestly I've been doing this long enough that I should have a system by now but every time comp prep rolls around I second-guess everything. This week I went back to basics — white rice, two eggs, a bit of salt, about 90 minutes before I pull. Nothing fancy. No measuring, just a reasonable portion that doesn't sit like a brick. And to be fair it's been the most consistent I've felt in weeks. I think sometimes I overcomplicate it, start reading stuff about carb ratios and glycaemic index and then end up eating something weird at the wrong time and wondering why my third attempt felt like death. White rice just... works for me. Digests fast, I'm not gassy on the platform, I've got enough in the tank. My creatine's non-negotiable obviously, that goes in regardless. But the food timing thing — I think I'd been leaving it too late, like 45 minutes out, which for me is just not enough. The 90-minute window has changed it a bit.

the overthinking is always what gets me, not the food

same, I've binned better sessions worrying about the meal than just eating it
