the one thing I've actually stuck to

So I've always been a bit all-or-nothing with skincare. Either I'm doing a full ten-step thing I read about somewhere and getting bored of it within a week, or I'm basically just washing my face and going to bed. For ages I felt like I should be doing more but honestly I just couldn't be bothered. What I've landed on now is properly minimal and it's the first routine I've actually kept up for more than a month. Cleanser, SPF in the morning, something basic and hydrating at night, and collagen every day — that last bit has probably made the biggest visible difference to me if I'm being honest, more than any of the actual skincare products. My skin just looks less... tired? It's hard to describe. I'm not claiming miracles but I feel like my face has settled into itself a bit more. Less dry patches, less of that dull look I had for most of last year when stress was absolutely flooring me. Mind you I did also start sleeping better around the same time so I can't pin it all on one thing, but still.

true to an extent, but some ingredients do make a measurable difference — it's not all placebo. that said, yeah, doing something consistently beats the perfect routine you abandon after two weeks.
