what I actually eat before training now

Took me ages to figure this out honestly. For months I was either training on empty (bad) or eating too much too close to the session (worse). There's a kind of middle ground that I never read about properly, I just sort of landed on it by trial and error. Basically I need something about 60-75 minutes before — not right before, not two hours before. For me it's usually a small portion of rice or oats with some protein, nothing fancy. On morning sessions when I genuinely can't stomach real food that early I'll do a whey shake with a bit of matcha stirred in, which sounds odd but keeps me going without that heavy feeling halfway through a set. The matcha thing I started doing almost by accident and now I'd miss it if I dropped it. The main thing I've noticed is consistency — same rough routine before each session, my body seems to know what's coming. Whether that's real physiology or just me being a creature of habit I genuinely don't know. Probably the latter, to be fair.

the 60-75 min window is real, took me way too long to figure that out too
