berry pancakes that took 12 minutes — spoiler: the kids didn't notice

Right so it's been one of those weeks where I've had zero time in the morning and the bairns still need feeding like the small demanding humans they are. I basically threw this together on Thursday and it somehow worked. Frozen blueberries blitzed into the batter — whole punnet, just straight in. The pancakes come out this kind of purple-grey colour which honestly looks a bit wrong but Alfie decided they were wizard pancakes so we were fine. Isla ate four. Four. The lassie usually refuses anything that isn't beige. Batter is dead simple: 1 egg 100g oats blitzed to a rough flour (I use the wee Nutribullet thing) 150ml milk big handful frozen blueberries, blended in tiny pinch of cinnamon Fry them small — like coin-sized almost, easier to flip and the kids feel like they're getting loads. Kirsty had them too and didn't complain which in this house basically counts as a five-star review. Difficulty level: desperate dad, one hand, kettle going, someone crying about socks.

wizard pancakes 😂 Archie's only 10 months so not quite there yet but I'm filing this one away for when he starts being difficult about food. frozen blueberries are always in my freezer anyway so this might actually happen
