green smoothie that doesn't taste like a lawn

Right so it's getting properly warm now and I have zero interest in eating a hot lunch when I'm already sweating just sitting at my desk. Been making this smoothie most days this week and honestly it's doing the job. Basically: frozen mango, half a banana, big handful of spinach, coconut water, squeeze of lime. Blend until smooth. That's it. The lime is what makes it — without it the spinach flavour just sits there and you know it's there. With it, somehow you don't. I batch-prep the fruit portions on Sunday (frozen mango already in bags, banana sliced and frozen) so during the week it's just grab, dump, blend. Takes about 3 minutes. I've been having it mid-afternoon instead of reaching for something rubbish and to be fair it keeps me going until dinner without feeling heavy. Mind you I did try adding oats once to make it more filling and it went a weird gluey texture I won't be repeating. Stick with the basics on this one.

aye the lime trick is real, I add it to mine too — though I've started throwing in matcha as well for the pre-run caffeine hit and it doesn't mess with the taste as much as you'd think

frozen pineapple instead of mango does summat similar if you've run out
