parsnip and apple soup — proper warming

Right so I've been doing blended stuff for years but I keep forgetting that cooked blended things are a completely different situation and autumn is honestly the best time to remember that. Roasted a load of parsnips with a bit of olive oil and cumin — took maybe 25 minutes, nothing fancy — then threw them in the blender with a Cornish apple (just one, nothing too sweet), some veg stock, a small knob of ginger and a squeeze of lemon at the end. That's it. Comes out really silky, slightly sweet but with that earthy parsnip thing going on underneath. I've been having it before evening sessions when it's getting dark by half four and I just need something warm in me before I go out. Works proper job for that. The apple was from down the road too which felt a bit smug but I'll allow it.
