think I've finally cracked the spring skin thing

Honestly my skin in March is just... a lot. Still flaky from winter but then one warm day and it goes full oily chaos. I've stopped adding new products every time this happens and just stripped it back instead. Basically: a gentler cleanser, SPF every morning without fail (non-negotiable, mind), and I swapped my thick night cream for something lighter with hyaluronic acid. That's it. No new serums, no fancy treatments. Nutritionally speaking — and I say this as someone who sees it with clients too — the transition period is a good time to bump up omega-3s. Oily fish, walnuts, a bit of flaxseed. Doesn't transform your skin overnight but over a few weeks I genuinely notice a difference in how settled everything feels. I've also been adding collagen to my morning smoothie for a while now, nothing dramatic, I just notice it on my nails mostly. Whether it's doing something for skin texture too I honestly couldn't say for certain — the evidence is still mixed — but it's a habit I've kept.
