tips please

hey everyone 👋 i’ve been trying to make matcha at home but it always ends up super watery and too liquidy. how do you guys get it thicker and more creamy like the one you serve? for context, i use oat milk and premium matcha, but it still doesn’t come out right 😭 any tips on proportions, whisking, or milk ratio would be really appreciated 🙏

the oat milk brand matters more than I expected — some are way thinner than others. Barista versions are thicker, made a difference for me

less water than you think — I was using way too much at first. maybe 60ml max to whisk the powder, then add the oat milk after. game changer for me

yeah same, took me ages to figure that out. I was drowning it in water and wondering why it tasted like nothing

also worth trying to heat the oat milk a bit before adding — cold milk kills the texture

I whisk mine into a paste first before adding anything — like really thick, almost no water — makes a proper difference to the texture
